if you don't mind me asking, how much( %) of your travel costs do you expect to recover from the cancelled trip?

Listened to a story on cnn radio about airlines and flight insurance companies doing people dirty when it came to cancelled trips.

This is when travelers were cancelling trips..and running into red tape and problems about refunds.
Even people who purchased travel insurance were getting the shaft

Now, when countries are restricting/banning incoming international travel, like what Trump did a few days ago, travelers will run into more red tape and problems about their money.
Safe to assume that travelers who are now banned from entry into the U.S. are experiencing problems similar to what the woman is describing in OP.
