ggg looked gaunt to me. IDK why he'd go 1.5 under 160? Maybe for speed (:heh:)

Oh and if Kell Brook punches sharp, what does Manny do? Manny would hurt Kell
Personally I have had questions regarding his weigh ins for more than just this fight, but maybe I am overthinking it. He usually has a fairly gaunt look, despite making it easily on the scales (who knows behind the scenes). He also went 1 lb under for Wade. The last couple of years his definition at weigh-ins hasn't been as good and his middle has looked a little softer. What all that means, I don't know.

My guess is that dude naturally doesn't walk around at that heavy a weight, guessing between 170 and 175 and getting to the low 160's is easy, but I have been wondering if getting to 160 is more difficult than it used to be. He is 34 and cutting to his weight class he has always been in...his body could be starting its natural progression to want to be a little heavier. I wouldn't doubt that is why they talk about 168, but haven't committed. Walk around weight he would be small for 168 and really should be at 160, but I am becoming more inclined to think with his age his body doesn't want to cut as much weight anymore.

I don't know, just a theory. :yeshrug:

@GREENandYELLOW I don't think dude is a small MW at all. If you look at the 30-45 day out pictures then look at the weight in pictures, looks like two different people (specifically shoulders).

Who's doing drug testing for this fight?

I don't think he is a small MW, I would say he is an average sized MW. In my comment above, I meant he would be small for SMW. When it comes to 160, I think GGG is average sized. I wouldn't doubt though that even if his walk around weight stays relatively similar, being 34 cutting to 160 could be getting harder.

That said, I always have a hard time telling what is good or bad weight cutting just by visual. I do remember thinking that Kovalev and Beterbiev always look skinny as fukk at weigh-ins and nowhere near their physically imposing self's that appear in the ring. That said, I have never felt Kovalev and Beterbiev performed poorly due to weight struggling issues and they seem to handle it just fine.

People need to get over speed like it's the only thing that determines whether or not a guy can land punches. Footwork is the most important, and Gennady's his great. He will slip a ton of Brook's punches and walk through a few as he cuts the ring off while practicing combos, and when when he has Kell trapped, if even for a couple of seconds, he's going to bang those combos off. Rinse. Repeat.

This here :wow:

Kell Brook would beat manny lmao

Manny can't beat Shawn Porter or Keith Thurman either lmao

When's the last time Manny faced anybody who was young and strong

bradley a third time no punching power what so ever
Floyd has hands made of paper and he still stopped him dead in his tracks when he landed the right hand
Chris Algeri lmao
Brandon Rios lmao, he couldn't even KO rios and Bradley no ko power having ass did

Manny has been a protected fighter for years, fighting guys under circumstances where he could get advantage
he's never fought a young welterweight and never will, that's why he's fightig Vargas, another blown up 140 guy, who ain't shyt
Kell would ko Manny, real spit

When drained GGG KOs a "strong & healthy" Kell Brook, who also has "faster hands, faster feet, & sharper punches than GGG", with no problem:ohlawd:

:mjlol: at yall who fell for the UK hype machine and media:dead:

There's no way GGG doesn't beat this dude....none:ufdup:

By the way, if you picked Kell Brook to win this fight, then you have absolutely nothing to say bad about GGG after he beats the guy yall said he should lose too:sas2:

Yall making excuses now, talking about weight drain, he's going to rehydrate well above 160, no excuses

Kell Brook will expose GGG, GGG has a puncher's chance, but Kell Brook will be extra careful in this fight and expose GGG's flaws

Canelo and Kell Brook will become the new fight to make

and GGG can defend his WBA belt against the rest of the bums in the division

Dan Rafael chat wrap 9/9:

Brook vs. GGG:
- People have said GGG looked drained at the weigh-in, but in his opinion he didn't think so.
- Rumors of GGG having the flu? He spoke with GGG for an hour and a half at a presser interview and GGG seemed his normal self, good mood and easy going. Sat a few inches away from him for half and hour and didn't notice any signs of the flu. He probably could have asked questions to GGG for as long as he wanted. Asked Abel if GGG was sick and he said no (wouldn't expect him to say yes).
- No one is underestimating Brook, it is just that most people believe GGG is the superior fighter.
- The WBA has said that if both Jacobs and GGG will win, they are going to mandate they fight. GGG has an HBO date tentatively of November 26 (likely in LA), so if they both win, it is possible.
- Who has a better shot at an upset: Brook or Cuadras? Cuadras.
- Expectation of Brook's strategy? Jab, go to the body, use his legs, should be quicker.
- According to Hearn, GGG gets no UK PPV money. He gets a purse fee and the US TV money.
- Would GGG KO prime Hopkins? Hopkins might lose, but not by KO. He has an all-time chin and superb defense.
- Could Froch go the distance vs. GGG? Sure, he had a great chin.
- Any truth to the report that GGG KO'd Kovalev with a body shot? That talk is certainly going around, but he hasn't seen any verified proof. There is debate about what happened.
- What happens if GGG loses? All is not lost as Brook is a quality fighter. However, the aura of invincibility is gone.
- Weigh in atmosphere? Pretty weak. O2 Arena isn't very convenient.
- GGG has a rematch clause.
- When Arguello was working with a promotional company in Nicaragua, he sent Dan a packet of young figher info and highlighted Chocolatito as one to watch out for.
- Differences between Brook and Khan? Brook is known for having a good chin and being in his prime. Khan has a poor chin and is past his prime.
- GGG on Eubanks Jr.? He is 50% clown and 50% fighter.
- The Canelo situation has GGG very upset.
- Picks? GGG by KO, Gonzalez W12, and Kamegai-Karass is 50/50 - Kamegai W12.

GGG looks sick or something
sorta drained too
looking like he just woke up and shyt
he didnt smile once

brooks looks like hes in great shape
much better shape than khan who had a belly

still standing by my prediction
GGG in 5 or 6
Not having seen the weigh in, I wonder if the not smiling was because he was a bit tensed up. For GGG's laid back personality, I have noticed he isn't without getting nervous himself. Maybe not of the opponent, but of the stage. I thought he seemed a bit tense and stiff until he got warmed up vs. Lemieux. I think the fact he was on PPV affected him. I wouldn't doubt that being on such a big stage in the UK has him a bit nervous.

The Traps of Unified Korea
Weight Drain rumors are to throw off betters so nikkas bet on Brook.
People falling for this okey doke. Literally the only difference in the photos is the lighting, he's relaxing, and he's not smiling.

The pseudo-science and UK hype people are falling for. People are stirring up something wrong with GGG as a last minute sell for the PPV and the bookies.

US boxing brehs exposing themselves gobbling up everything Hearn has fed them in this build.

If this was Arum or DLH saying at this people would be like :beli: but it's Hearn so people are :ohhh:despite this dude being a top tier sheister
