I'm not saying he's washed but GGG has clearly declined. He's way slower, has less endurance, shocking footwork at times and his defence mostly consist of shelling up. I had Derev winning closely so I think it could also have swayed in Golovkin's way because he did block plenty of Derev's punches and the latter was messy in his work and his face ended up looking way worse than GGG's. But that's not a good look either way. He's been having razor thing close fights (losses or wins) against every proper 160er as of late and there's nothing that'll make this improve for him. He's not winning against Andrade or BJS and not winning rematches against Canelo, Jacobs or Derev IMO. If they are smart, Andrade and BJS should force a fight with him so they can get a good W on their resume. And I don't think he has any business moving to 168 either. This could be ugly for him.

Also, I don't see much difference from the trainer change imo, this came way too late in his career. He may look good in training sessions but there's only so much you can do to improve instincts you built up to 33 years old. Man should have never ditched his finesse under Sanchez for a so called Mexican style, that ruined his boxing though he got rich doing so, so :yeshrug: Finally, his gas tank seem to empty far faster than before. I mean against Canelo 2, he was looking worse than Alvarez smh. Anyway, he's still a warrior and I like that no matter what he will dig deep even though the situation do not look good for him but I don't know what the future holds for him tbh.

Dazn really fukked up signing GGG to that big money contract:russ:

Like Roc Nation signing a old Cotto

Not really. GGG still has a large fanbase that will watch his fights whether he is the champ or not.

U mean all those fans that's were booing him after the decision, and kept booing him till free he was done being Interviewed?

They'll get over it trust me, boxing fans are the most wishy washy ass fans in all of sports. Look at the narratives surrounding fighters like Canelo and Spence just a year or two ago to now. You can become a bad guy in boxing fast and you don't even do anything wrong.

That was an instant classic. Triple G got his ass beat and still inflicted enough damage to put Dervenchenko down for 6 months. Obviously triple g lost that fight but it is what it is. I dont think hell ever be the same dude knocking cats out/down with 1 shot now. Too slow and after last night, everyone gonna try and snatch his soul via body. Mad respect to dervenchenko he deserves that belt and the cash that goes with it.

I watched the highlights...y'all were right :to:.

Man what the fukk was the ref doing in the 5th round? GGG was.in real real serious trouble and dude just broke up the onslaught? :what:. I hate incompetent refs man. Anyways I'm not sure where he goes from here. I see him getting stopped by a number of top guys. Sad that dude never got to face all of the top comp at 160. It is what it is

Said it after the 3rd round live GGG is probably ruined after the Canelo fights. I didn't like the way he was reacting to getting hit whether to the body or head. I wouldn't doubt in his next fight he gets clipped or stopped by a soft touch. His punch resistance doesn't look good anymore
