deferred adjudication is a type of probation they put you on usually a first offense, where when u successfully completed you dont have a conviction on ur record.

My lawyer presented me with a plea deal I couldn't pass up on. I was originally charged with malicious wounding and firearm in commission of a felony ... Those charges were subsequently amended down to misdemeanor assault n. battery n brandishing a weapon

In order to be eligible for an expungement, you must have been acquitted (found not guilty by a judge or jury), or the prosecutor must have moved for a nolle prosequi (dismissal without prejudice), or the charge must have been “otherwise dismissed,” which includes dismissal by accord and satisfaction.
