According to Glory Johnson, Brittney Griner legally agreed to be the father of her twin daughters after they were married.
“At no stage was Brittney pressured to undertake the fertility process,” Johnson’s statement said, in opposition to Griner’s claim that she did not know how long Johnson had been pregnant. “In fact, throughout the entire process, Brittney was a willing participant, consenting and signing all the necessary documents that needed to be signed in order to move forward with the treatments.”
The couple decided to buy a house and have kids, so they chose a sperm donor – a blond, blue-eyed man whom Glory says Brittney hand-picked – and found a doctor in Phoenix, who then started Glory on IVF.
The two went to appointments together, and Glory has a video on her phone of Brittney referring to herself as ‘dad’ to their future kids.
Once the marriage ended, Griner denied that she was the father and accused Johnson of either cheating on her with a man or using sperm that Griner didn’t approve.
In the end, Johnson won out and a settlement was reached where Griner will have to pay child support to Johnson.
Griner will have to pay a little more than $2500 a month in child support and 90% of all the twins medical expenses.
