honestly, I feel sorry for him.

He was trying to do right, and he had media attack and lambast him.

He is painted as a white racist when his grant grandfather was black. What did he do that was so wrong? He defended himself against an Aggressor. If I was in his shoes, I feel I may have done the same thing.

If he had shot someone of another race, I don't think anyone would have cared at all. that is true shame of this case.

Black people are scary. Let's be honest. I'm being honest with myself here. They put fear into my heart. When I see them on the street, I am scared. When I am scared, I react with instinct and emotion--not logic and reason. That's why I feel empathetic.

As a non-black, I remember how it was in school. How black kids would rob and pick on those that were weaker than them. I felt like they hated everyone. I remember the violence, and how we all banded together to defend ourselves. I'm not the only one who experienced this. Millions of others in the public school system went through the same thing. We are conditioned to hate and to fear through our experiences, and every time we are put into situations where our lives (we think) is in danger, those experiences push us to do things that we wouldn't otherwise.

We're animals and we're programed to behave a certain way--a predictable way. I can't blame Zimmerman reacting the way he did. I don't think he is a evil person, and I don't think he deserves this ridicule.

Call me a troll. Call me crazy.. I don't really care. That is how I feel on the subject.

You say you feel sorry for GZ, and not the unarmed innocent kid...

I see you pulled an evocative slight of hand, and circumvented a discussion about the law and morality, and reduced this tragedy to a primal fear debate about animal instincts...

With that said, GZ was in the comfort and safety of his own home. Trayvon didnt pose a threat to anyone, especially GZ, and there werent any other complaints outside of GZ's regarding Trayvon's activities. What was he doing that was right? An innocent kid is dead.

GZ chose to arm himself and hunt an unarmed citizen like a dog because of his own irrational fears and prejudice. He wasnt protecting sht. He was the aggressor, to the point where the dispatcher told him to stop his pursuit as it wasnt necessary based on her judgement, --- so what exactly were the instincts that he was operating with here?

It seems like your self-loathing gathers its strength from your cowardice as a youth....you seem to be as mad at yourself for lacking a backbone, as you are at other races for supposedly taking advantage of you. That seems to be the same mentality that powered Zimmerman, and a psychology shared by his supporters.

No but I was also conditioned to hate white people because of my upbringing too.

We were dirty asians, from south east asian countries. Nothing but gooks who didn't deserve respect. I felt that was how all whites, blacks and latinos felt. No white person every robbed my backpack, attacked me verbally and physically. Their hatred was always something they would imply, or something that I knew was being said behind closed doors. It's different. I don't think white people are all that bad though. I've worked with them throughout the years. I have been invited to white weddings and parties. Some of my best friends throughout the years have been white. my image of them has changed.

Why was an innocent kid engaging in fist fight with an old man. What kind of innocent kid is suspended from school three times?

I don't feel that he was innocent that night at all. Even if he wasn't doing anything, I am pretty sure that he felt disrespect and provoked by Zimmerman, and took it upon himself to engage. He's not innocent.

so, every black youth walking home at night should be presumed guilty and treated as such unless otherwise acquitted of those suspicions? george zimmerman, fueled by a racist assumptions, made this child fear for his safety and subsequently murdered trayvon after he defended himself from zimmerman. robbed of his entire future, trayvon rots in a grave, while his parents continue to grieve for a son murdered for being black. zimmerman will probably walk, due in no small part to the immense support he receives from like-minded white racists who've been raised to see little value in the life of black.
