Most poor kids struggle in school because of home life.

So structured homes are only found in affluent households? Also, the student to teacher ratio will be much lower in wealthier communities as well. Not every child that lives there will take full advantage of the opportunities but hell if even if only a couple kids really take off and keeps some others away from the street life I'm all for it.

Not to mention they'll have access to better supermarkets than they probably normally would. Diet is extremely important to development.

I had a section 8 head doctor that lived in the projects of a very wealthy community too and while it had its low income tendencies she was still much safer being there and exposed to an infinite more amount of opportunities than if she was being raised in the middle of east Oakland. She never mentioned being mentally scarred or had any PTSD symptoms from going to school with rich kids. But...
