Yeah man. You gotta go in expecting it and just go along for the ride. As long as it makes sense within the world you're presenting me and I can suspend my disbelief because everything is done so well, I'm good. Paranormal Activity is still the greatest theater experience I've ever had and I doubt it'll be topped

Documentaries And horror
Documentaries- It is too easy to manipulate "facts" and the entry barrier to make one is easier than ever. Resulting in the average idiot making them with Quasi facts
Horror- well it's hard to spook people and they don't even try with the storyline. A good one will have you
Cosign, It's like the older I get, the more skeptical I get, I don't know if that's good or bad. I feel like too many people take what they see in documentaries as fact.

indie hipster coming of age story where quiet shy meek nerd living in an impossibly white world (no black characters, maybe 1 hispanic or asian)... breaks out of his shell by meeting a quirky full-of-life, 80s-music, poetry loving beautiful female character who is also quiet but damaged

Movies that take place ridiculously far in the past, I can't even watch TV Shows like that which is why I couldn't get into Game of Thrones or Boardwalk Empire. Although I admit, I'm tempted to check that new Jennifer Lawrence movie which takes places in 1930s North Carolina, only because I like her an actress and I have ties to that state

I don't really avoid any, but tend to have very little interest in Sci Fi or War movies. That being said, a couple of my favorite movies have come from those genres, The Terminator series and Jarhead..
I also usually am bored with Action films. The ones I do like are the ones that are as unrealistic and over the top as possible.
