I hate people who argue against this. Why is it wrong to want certain features? I will welcome this technology and all its potential with open arms. I would like for my kids to be smart and good-looking. Why should we be content with what nature gives us? Why is it wrong to want my sons to be taller than 6 feet? Why is it wrong for me to want daughters with nice long flowing hair?

People need to get off this fallacy of just being content with "what God gives us." First, there is no evidence for a God. And secondly, our physical attributes are nothing more than chance and natural selection. I'd love to take the chance out of it and truly control the destiny of our species.

not necessarily that is just what you assume

IMO the best looking people are mixed race NOT white. And I think most people would agree. Thus its wrong to assume that everyone would wanna make themselves look like Europeans. I think its more likely people make themselves look more like Brazilians who are a mix of everything.

If a fetus is found to have Downs Syndrome and that can be corrected, that would be a major triumph of modern science.
But there's still the nature/nurture aspect. So sure, it would be nice to set a child up with great genetics (if possible) but I'm not sure I'd go to those lengths.

Birthing a child and raising them is one of the few truly organic experiences human beings have left in an increasingly pre-set technological world.
I don't think I'd want to mess with that. It probably wouldn't even feel like my own child if I did.
