I'm flabby but still on point
these younger kids will have good jumpers from playing alot

but they mostly do in and out dribbles and cant go left :russ: that in and out turns into in and step back

nikkas like me and ginobili who are left handed and cant jump high can easily contest step backs
all you do is run at the dude on the side and swipe ... alot of people in general have always been bothered simply by just putting your hands up and taking up space
being slow and not jumping high lets me hold position and not bite on shyt :wtf: kind of like a PG-13 style player ..being left handed alone fukks people up on defense tbh

I agree that it is about emulating their favorite players.

That is probably true. You have a point there.

I would just argue that in terms of results, they all attempt to do the same thing.

But fair enough.
Growing up, my generation, we did the exact same shyt. :yeshrug:

Dudes were out there doing their best Iverson and And 1 impersonations, with no concern for actually scoring the basket, just focused on trying to embarrass the defender in front of them based on handles.

You know what's funny?
I remember before Iverson, the crossover that people on the court used to do (or admire) was Tim Hardaway's.

I used to hear his name a lot on the playground.

I use a step back pretty consistently. I got long limbs and my step back allows me time to square my body to the hoop and get into my position.

if you hit a couple, it starts being a great opener move.

But from what distance? A stepback three is a difficult shot...a stepback mid-range shot is a better shot
