I wonder if it's still possible to reach people who hold such paradoxical views on a large scale. Right now, it seems unlikely, especially with the demonization of media literacy, which has only made things worse. The media itself doesn't seem like the answer, given its profit-driven motives and capture by billionaire interests. Schools face their own challenges too, especially with the growing "parental rights" movement acting as a major barrier. All of these factors make it seem impossible to address this issue on a broad scale, at least in the short term.
