We got $30 eggs, collapsing retirement accounts, chicken coup directives and $20k increases on car prices. All things that are not a surprise as trump said he would do what he’s doing now.

Nobody who was actually serious about the economy (and not already rich) voted for trump because they REALLY thought the economy would get better for them.

Thats just what they say, cause they done wanna say “i hate mexicans/gays/blacks/etc out loud.
its harder to fix the economy than to sell the idea you want men in the working man’s daughters’ bathrooms

Probably not but it's a lot more complex than that. The right has a monopoly on the media ecosystem and they can catastrophize any complex social issue (whether its immigration, abortion or LGBTQ rights). Because of this imbalance Dems are at a tremendous disadvantage when it comes to defining what they stand for and setting their own narrative.

Kamala spoke very little about trans issues during her campaign. Nonetheless, the right was able to take a 10 second clip of an old interview of hers and blow it out of proportion. At that point there was no going back. The narrative was set regardless of anything the Dems or Kamala could have done to distance themselves from trans issues. The real question is - what is the solution for that? Reflexively running to the center for every moral dilemma the right sensationalizes is a fools errand. If the new position the right takes on trans people is that they should be criminalized and tracked in a national database, how then should the Democrats respond? Should they reflexively take a position a little less extreme.
You see how this can turn into a never ending cycle and cat and mouse game.

With all that said the voters who're naive enough to fall for every sensationalized right wing talking point are bound to vote Republican anyway. Why should Dems diminish their values to appease this cadre of voters in the first place?

Its much more adventageous for Dems to put together a compelling vision and bold platform that will inspire a slice of of those 90 million non-voters to vote. And in order to do this they'll have to really be a party of working and middle classes and abandon their wealthy donors.
Let me get this straight. Do you support transgender surgeries for prisoners?

By values I mean acknowledging that every community should have dignity and not have their rights infringed upon.
I don't think men should be playing in womens sports but its not an issue that effects me or most people I know. Again this is another issue the right has sensationalized. I'm fine with Democrats uniformally saying they are against men playing in women sports. But that should then lead to denying trans people's right to exist and their freedom to be treated fairly in society. And that's where all of the Republican's rhetoric will inevitably lead to.
Again, these are complex social issues that deserve far more nuance than brain rotted right wing takes on social media.

So say that and stand on it.

Theres nothing else you need to budge on.

Dems should be making it easier to process asylum claims and expedite legal immigration claims for the educated, talented, and those bring financial asset and other resources.
i'm fine with this, the minute that The Squad tells us exactly where these people are supposed to live, and who's paying for it
