Crazy because I'm not glazing them.

Maybe if you actually read what I stated and watched the videos, you'd understand what's happening geopolitically.

I don't agree with this very public takeover of our government but many of you are so busy trying to get off
"gotchas" that you just come off as dummies who don't read.

Under Biden America outperformed China. We didn’t need to pivot, we just needed to keep doing what we were doing. Under Trump China’s potential to outpace us as the world’s hegemony increases in probability.

You’re a closeted Trump supporter so you default to Biden = bad.

By the way, I understand the logic of allowing the tech sector to control our destiny.

American leadership effectively feels we're behind China (we are) and that we need to be competitive
on the world stage (we do).

Andreesen Horrowitz
Elon Musk
Peter Thiel
Sundar Pichai
Satya Nadella
Sam Altman
and several others aren't just there for show, they're literally advising Washington and
helping to guide domestic and international policy.

The moves being made, make sense when you understand it's a direct reaction to China's aggressive growth
and what's going on with BRICs. G7 countries have failing/weakening economies, several countries are moving away
from the petrodollar and we're (America is) not the most technically advanced country on the planet anymore.

We're in the middle of a moderrn cold war and Elon musk is someone put in charge of "steering the ship" to so speak.
Tariffs.
Restricting Chips.
The push for Stargate, the military funding, the social pivot to the right all make sense as the general public has to brace for measures of
austerity.

The problem is those people are why we are behind because they gobbled up all the smaller entities with the good ideas and put them under their company's umbrella, thus killing competition.

Silicon Valley only worked when they were competing. They are not any longer.

To add on to the thread:

Eric Schmidt, the former CEO of google is another key player who has helped to advise the government on how best to approach the AI Challenge.

Here he lays out the arbitrary amount of compute we'd need to achieve AGI which is directly related to the estimated $500 billion
that's been laid out for Stargate.

Murkowski on how she got to yes on RFK Jr. “I continue to have concerns about Mr. Kennedy’s views on vaccines and his selective interpretation of scientific studies, which initially caused my misgivings about his nomination. …He has made numerous commitments to me and my colleagues, promising to work with Congress to ensure public access to information and to base vaccine recommendations on data-driven, evidence-based, and medically sound research. These commitments are important to me and, on balance, provide assurance for my vote.”

If trump is able to resolve the issues between Russia/Ukraine without major encroachment this says a lot about the current dem party. If youu told me 20 years about that the dem party would also be the party of neocons , I would have slapped you.

Exactly and AGI is being looked at like another Nuclear Bomb type situation.

Previously they (the tech sector) only had to worry about competing with themselves and could use our
position as the heart of the empire to simply import the best and brightest from the world over. That proposition
is less and less appealing with growing Sinophobia due to increased political tensions.

A lot of the leading actors in AI are Chinese which adds another huge wrinkle to this whole ordeal.

Many are publishing work both Domestically and in China.
So right now, it's largely the Chinese against the Chinese.

Which is such a crazy position to be in.

I'm still reading sources and just generally trying to get handle on this whole situation
but it's pretty deep and directly ties into our moves in Asia and what we're doing against
both Russia and China.

China also outstrips us in manufacturing capacity an in key areas like Steel and Energy production.

The manufacturing and CHIPs act during the biden administration :

Was an attempt to curb this.

As recently as 1/15/2025:

Congress broached the topic again.

Wanting to be the most technologically advanced nation makes sense, your glazing of Silicon Valley and sidestepping their very negative impact on society makes less sense. You just sound like a dude who went down a tech is God rabbit hole on YouTube.

No one is "Glazing the technology sector".
All I've mentioned is what's pushing these government moves (the need to keep up technologically).

I personally don't believe in AI Gods or AGI or miracle cures or anything of the sort.

I've been critical of AI but our leadership in their desperation to curb or slow the inevitable
are making some silly ass decisions.

Anything else you're saying is an indication of a lack of reading comprehension and a lot of projection.

Cause whatever you're talkin' about is NOT what I'm talking about.
