The Supreme Court has less democratic legitimacy than the Presidency. If they have been coopted as an agent of right-wing control and enabling a massively unpopular political program, then the Democratic President has a mandate to use his powers to federalize the national guard of state's enacting abortion bans and protect the right of women to choose. This is a completely unthinkable breach of decorum to Liberals, yet Trump would do this without a second thought. Which is why Democrats are perpetual losers, even when they win elections.
I want the government running around doing shyt that actually helps people instead of telling us why the rulebook says they can't do shyt to help people while Trump continuously proves there is no rulebook and harms people. I don't think protecting abortion access is clown shyt. I don't think reigning in the power of oligarchs is clown shyt. But I grant you, those things would make me feel good.
Respectfully disagree. One should always be radical in the pursuit of justice and virtue. In this country, universal healthcare is radical. Stopping the epidemic of gun violence is radical. Ensuring the poor can live in a state of decency is radical. We are living in radical times, but only one side is willing to ride the wave. Trump doesn't win if everyone turns radical, he wins if his radically evil agenda isn't counteracted by a radically good agenda.
