My understanding is that China, Indian, Russia, Pakistan and etc weren't making meaningful cuts so without them even with the US doing everything under the sun it would've been hard to make a real difference. The American billionaires and Corporate America have completely turned their backs on social responsibility the last year or so therefore I wouldn't expect anything from them for the forseeable future.

Given that our per capita emissions are almost double that of China and about 5 times that of countries like India and Pakistan, maybe we should take the lead?
