The court said the agency‘s director should only be dismissed for cause.

Court Ruling on CFPB Director Deals Blow to Trump Administration
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau director’s job regained a measure of security Wednesday when a U.S. appeals court said the agency head can only be fired for “inefficiency, neglect of duty, or malfeasance in office,” in a blow to the Trump administration.

I'm listening to NPR.

Republican voter who's sister in law is a DACA recipient voted for Trump.

Supports a pathway to citizenship.

She also supports prison reform.

Thinks Trump did everything he was accused of.

Thinks heshecringe worthy.

Despite this she voted for Trump because he wasn't a politician. Claims that's why everyone voted for them.

Is there some sort of official mental disorder that can be applied to people who vote for candidates that are clearly not in their best interests?

It's called being a white christian optimist.

Hope may be our downfall. :wow:

The other guy was pretty straight forward. He's a libertarian businessman and while he hate the unchecked military spending, he basically said he voted for Trump because he's a businessman.

was there a candidate in their best interest? And if so who?:leostare:

:hubie:I did vote for shillary or Trump

Based on the post I quoted, there was a candidate more aligned with their interests.
And my post was not about the candidate who best matched their interest, but it was about voting for someone who clearly did not.

For the woman, Hillary was certainly in her best interest. She even organized for Doug Jones by starting a Republicans for Doug Jones group. :skip:

I imagine she just voted Republican because her husband hit her with .

A Maryland state lawmaker introduced the "Jared Kushner Act," a bill to prevent arrest warrants for people who owe unpaid rent, saying it was named after President Trump's son-in-law because his property company is so aggressive in seeking warrants on tenants.

President Trump's Education Department will start testing putting federal aid for college students on debit cards — a move that will allow officials to track students' purchases and restrict how they spend the funds.

Students would also receive text messages about the long-term “ramification” of spending the funds.
