Freedom Caucus will be mad because this will pass with a majority of Republicans.

What concerns me about the debt ceiling is that Americans are much more silo'd than the last flirtation w/ the debt ceiling during Obama's administration, and so now, the polls are basically split along party lines on who should shoulder the blame:

During the last one w/ Obama, it was overwhelmingly blamed on Republicans, but the polling doesn't show this as likely at the moment. I think that the average American just isn't informed and so the polling is all over the place.

Hopefully, if this goes off the rails, the truth trickles its way to independents & moderate Republican voters at the least, but a much larger swath of the population will be fed alternative facts that incentivize Republicans to double down on the crisis

Jayapal and the 'progressive' caucus supposedly a no on the debt limit deal. :duck:

Either this is 🧢 or she knows they have the votes without them.

It's the latter. Jeffries said that McCarthy promised to have 150 GOP votes and the democrats will provide the rest. Gives her cover to go out and complain as much as she wants.
