You do know the Unions was the only thing holding the Midwest from becoming the south right? I doubt this strike hurts Trump but if unions take this L this will only help Trump. The poorer a state becomes the more it votes for Trump.

I will say that the Trumps path to victory is narrow especially if the trends from the 2018 mid terms hold up.
Dems don't have to reinvent the wheel to beat Trump. If they win back Wisconsin,Michigan and Pennsylvania and don't lose any states from 2016 Trump can't win. Even if he wins Ohio and Florida (which I will bank on him winning).

Anyone saying trump is going to win in 2020 is a clown. Rust belt states like Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania carried trump. He promised those swing voters that it’d be a manufacturing revival in those parts. Lot of factories are idling due to the trade war.

GM was bankrupt without govt assistance.. the us auto industry had been dead since 08.. they keeping it "alive" aka a coma
Pull the plug
Really comes down to trying to get back some of the things we conceded during bankruptcy. Gave up cost of living allowance, gave up some insurance things, haven't had a real raise in about ten years, GM is employing temps off and on for 5 plus years instead of hiring them or allowing transfers from idled plants. They didn't present a legitimate offer until 2 hours before the deadline. They have made record profits in the last few years but are still idling plants. There is a lot that goes into it.
