He’s going to get his money and the first thing he’s going to do is cash out in order to save his twitter ”investment” just like he did with SolarCity.

The best part about it all is they’re going to give him the money and he’s still not going to be able to save Tesla because there simply isn’t any self-driving software he’s been fraudulently hawking all these years. I actually want him to get the $56 billion because Tesla is going to crash and if he leaves, he going to say the crash is because of his departure. Elon is the Michael Jordan of grifting :wow:

Something that gets me is you'd think someone who is in the EV game would see the gravity of the situation that is climate change. And he uses those billions to fight fukking culture wars and bolster the side who are horrible on climate issues. Really Its all these techbros and I've had enough of them and this fukking idea that some mcguffen is gonna bail humanity out from this catastrophe we're heading into and somehow the fukking IDIOTS who bytch on about DEI this and that in these crucial times are somehow gonna be the ones with the foresight to do it. Get allllllllllllllllllllllllllll the way the fukk outta here. There isn't gonna be a fukking mcguffen. No silver bullet no nothing and shyt is gonna get astronomically worse so fast your head will spin.
No one is remotely prepared for whats coming and the fact that we prop up these techno jesus clowns like some messiahs

This is a dumb decision at a high level, because people are discovering that A.I. Technology is a giant bubble. There is some things that A.I. can do, but right now companies like ChatGPT are trying to sell A.I. like its 2100, it can't or won't do that shyt yet.

With Elon, all of the stuff he produces ends up being messy as shyt, like the CyberTruck.

And to top it off, he needs Tesla to stay solvent in order to pay his Twitter Loans he used to buy the company.

I don't think we've ever seen a cult of this level as a big business in America.

People at that level rarely pay attention to the real issues in the field they're working in. Everything is about maintaining the brand and product lines and profit margins. Whatever social issues he cares about come from the idiots he's chosen to surround himself with in his free time and interact with online, not what his company is actually working in.

I would say if Steve Jobs/Apple happened NOW, then I would disagree, but we are talking pre-Twitter, so I would say yes.

The Steve Jobs fan club never extended very far past the products. He didn't have the same sort of power or cultural influence outside of the products. I don't think many of his stans were considering veganism or eastern spirituality just because Jobs was doing it. In his first run at Apple, the company forced him out and that was that. At NeXT, he was still a known quantity but people weren't obsessed over him like that. Even in his second run at Apple when things really took off, he was a very controlling CEO but the other executives were allowed to disagree with him and make him change his mind and such. And when he had to take time away from Apple when he got sick, or when he eventually died, I don't remember Apple fans leaving en masse the way they're threatening to do with Musk and Tesla.

Musk, on the other hand, seems to have TOTAL control over his companies to the point where they're basically talking like it can't go on without him. His stans don't just like his products, they gush over his entire vision for society from Mars colonialization to augmented reality to "free speech" to all the right-wing bullshyt.

I'm not sure how much of that is the fact that Twitter exists, and how much is the fact that Musk is a narcisstic meglomaniac, and how much is that he targeted a more vulnerable fanbase.

That’s the problem, they don’t want to be evaluated as a car company because then the stock price would plummet to realistic prices maybe even less than $30/share. They need elon to keep pumping the stock with his ridiculous and criminally fraudulent claims.

And that’s why I said Apple should do a hostile takeover since they want to get into the ev space… they can sure up R&D when it comes to automobiles while still keeping it as a tech company with the infrastructure still in place while bushing the cyber truck as well lol
