I can understand the logic of people thinking what they think regarding the situation. i’m just questioning the WHY of it all. Like it literally makes no sense that Puff would have his biggest artist murdered at the HEIGHT of his career. How many New York artists were going multi-platinum from 94-97? LL Cool J, Nas, and Biggie. I can’t think of any others. Jay hadn’t popped yet. Wu-Tang was big culturally but they were consistently going Gold and maybe inching towards Platinum but not Multi. On the Bad Boy side Mase wasn’t the man quite yet. Craig Mack was on his way out. The Lox weren’t a thing at the time. I just don’t see what Puff stood to gain from allowing one of the three biggest rap artists in New York, and one of the biggest rap in the WORLD, HIS artist to be murdered. Sounds insane.
Someone had to go after Pac died and it was either him or Biggie and he offered up Biggie to save himself from retaliation. It also allowed him to become a big star. It was a win win for him.

He moved to the forefront himself and then could move around the streets freely. Opps got their sacrifice

Doesn't make sense when Big probably owed him multiple albums which would have brought in way more money. Puff was already a star but no Big meant Bad Boy lost it's cash cow.

Puff had enough money for security that he could move around LA. People act like Suge had a no fly zone out there but Jimmy Henchmen and Haitian Jack were moving out there freely. Suge knew there were consequences to messing with certain people. Puff couldn't be touched but Big could. Puff just didn't protect him like he protected himself. You see how Puff left all the Bad Boy artists out there while he flew out of Cali. He was only looking out for himself. Same way he has multiple millions but has his artists on slave deals. He's only out for himself so in his arrogance he wasn't thinking of anything happening to Big at that time.

Puff killing Big makes as much sense as Suge setting up Pac and being in the same car with him during the hit.

Dallas, Texas but living in Houston, Texas
it just doesn't make any sense for them to go out to LA so soon after Pac died. Everything Gene says about the day Biggie died basically points to Puff going out of his way to making sure that shyt happened.
Because Puffy was arrogant. Same way he did Cassie and his other alleged crimes in the last twenty years. 2Pac was dead and Suge was in prison so they he thought he was untouchable.
