This is why truly learning about history matters and why the powers that be will always try to downplay or straight up deny an easy/accessible understanding of it.

A lot of young people have no fukking idea what a dictatorship truly consists of. And somehow they are naive enough to buy into the argument in favor of "someone that knows better than me making all the decisions I don't want to be bothered with" because they can't grasp the reality of people being evil as fukk right in front of your nose.

None of this is normal. It’s like I saw writing on the wall years ago and I consciously avoided it as best as I could. But I realize that the rest of society isn’t like that. These kids were born into a world like this. They hear it in the games they are playing, videos they watching, the TikTok’s, the gram… I don’t know if it’s possible at this point to reverse this trend without a World War, or a solar flare knocking out the Internet on the planet. I’ve literally watched the Internet evolved into a thing that’s gonna ultimately destroy us. Crazy.

Gen Z doesn't remember communism and the number of years between WWII and now is the same as the number of years between the US Civil War and WWII. They think dictators will only get people they don't like too.

Yeah and the problem is civics and history in schools are bs today. Nobody who knows anything about history, the Constitution, etc. would think that a CEO means a better political leader. Companies are authoritarian by design but they have a narrow focus and few responsibilities outside profit.
