Honestly with that cheap cost of living, you can afford a nice hotel in the city if you want that nightlife.

I am GenX. If I was single, had no plans of getting married and having children, then yes I would live there. Even married, and we decided we would not have children for at least 5 years or so, we would live there. The only problem I see with the place is it is too small to raise children in beyond the toddler years. So it would be sold after the child is 3 and we have moved beyond our break-even point on the mortgage.
