Just came across this video on breh talking his hardships of not having any friends. Not having a solid group of folks you can depend on, make memories with or confide in can be really a lonely existence.

Deadass! Ever since the pandemic came out , n 2020, people's true colors started to be revealed. Gen Z's mostly socialize online. Less face-face makes it less intimate. Why you think streaming has become a popular phenomenon for Gen Z? Streamers are the new celebrities of this digital era. Remember when Kai Cenet showed up in Union Square few days ago? That's how big streaming has become for younger folks. Streamers have become relatable because they're able to be unapologetically themselves in front of camera. A bond becomes created over a period of time. They know what the streamers lifestyle is.

The sentiment that "making friends is harder as you get older" is true. Sometimes, we outgrew people. Other times we end up prioritizing other things such as creating a family, building a career and being our purpose.

In general, it's better being alone than dealing with bad company.

I think a lot has to do with social media for gen z….

Prior generations we had to go outside, we met up on basketball courts, clubs, just hanging around each other in the neighborhood because we didn’t have the technology that the younger generation have today.

With video games, social media/phones, the communication in the outside world in terms of face to face is gone

If you ain't a church/mosque-goer and not into sports (playing sports, not just watching sports) it can be hard.

Plus Gen Z, and I'm talking about the older Gen Z (i.e. the late 90s/early 00s babies) do the most overthinking out of the current generations. They even worse than Millenials. Making things way more complicated than they have to be.
