That California Lifestyle ...
In Japan all the English teachers go to the club together. You make friends with other gaijin so you get a wide berth of different ages and nationalities. It was me, a couple French dudes, a Brazilian and this English kid. We are all in our late 20’s too mid 30’s and this British kid is 22. We all come to club with standard fits, nothing too fancy but smart. British kid shows up on some acid washed jeans and a t shirt 3 sizes too big tucked into his jeans, with a Fanny pack. we all hit the :mjtf:Dude dressed like an 1980’s painter. Looking like come on Eileen.

Gen Z is definitely different but it is what it is. I’m sure we looked like shyt to our parents.

On a side note this show is tough :banderas: :

*Spoilers* Season 2 Trailer

You bugging. Millennials are the poster kids for eating shyt processed food - lunchables, Capri Sun, hot pockets, go gurt, froot by the foot, etc. it’s because of of our generation that there’s been a pullback on that as we became adults and able to make our own food decisions.

Anyway, millennials are (well were) a glossy generation. We came after the jaded gen x and were born to the most narcissistic generation - boomers - we were told we were special and could be anything, teamwork and collaboration was big for us, and traditional popularity tropes, our aesthetic was focused on looking put together (the sloppy bun was not an evening look), we were generally optimistic, our fashion was full of color and vibrance. We didn’t get beat down until recently when the effects of the 08 crash , student loans and getting hit by the pandemic and inflation all came down on us.

Gen Z’s whole aesthetic is looking like shyt, they wear terrible fitting mom/dad clothes that make them look frumpy and their whole color pallet is olive green, khaki, several shades of brown, black and grey. They are less connected and less socially adept. I don’t think they look older, well the ones who are into the heavy makeup do, but they do have a generally worn out, dusty look

You get to now use a “late 20th century painter” for that story :mjlol:
