What do you mean by clear? Nothing that happened in the theaters with Spider-Verse matches what the theater experience was like for any of the MCU flicks you mentioned.

Cultural experiences are always hard to quantify for people who weren’t there. These gen z folks don’t know what it was like to see people crying coming out of Infinity War. Legit crying. Black Panther had black folks showing out in the theater. Endgame last 3rd had the entire theater rocking. It was amazing.

And Marvel did it with the B and C tier characters!

It’s like when people today try to diss Avatar and how much money it made. If you didn’t see it in the theater you will never understand.
Why are you talking like Infinity War came out 30 years ago? It was 2018:pachaha:

A lot of Gen Z was in those same theaters crying

Because the spiderverse movies weren't expected to be a big money maker. They let those writers and animators cook because they didn't really give a shyt. If I remember correctly, the first one was even being considered as a direct to video/streaming release when it was first being worked on.

Now that they ARE big movies, the suits will want 10 more, because they don't recognize that quality=money they think quantity=money or keep doing the exact same thing over and over again=the exact same or more money over and over again.

It's the same kind of "logic" that gives you shyt like Modern Warfare 3--itself a remake of a game that came out only 10 years ago or The marvels--which nobody asked for.

they overplayed their hand with the marvels. they thought they had something with captain marvel because it sold well thinking people like the character and not because it was the direct tie in to the finale of their first arc. doesnt help that ever since bp came and crushed the buildings, that theyve been chasing that high with different characters like shang chi and mexican namor and that hasnt seem to have paid off as well either
