They have shelved the Gears movie for years.
They had a director and a casting call. They had a screenplay and storyboard.
It stayed in development hell for whatever reason.
Could have been IP rights.
It's a great story. And I would love to see Cole Train on the silver screen.

It has potential thoe considering it hasnt even gotten to the games story yet.
I think the fans dont understand that outside the video game realm Halo is semi generic. Getting a TV show exposes these games adaptations to a larger audience. Making it possible in the future to have a full length big budget movie. The problem they have is shoehorning characters in to establish a larger fanbase for the overall franchise. The super nerds cant get past that usually.
as far as gears of war getting a live action movie and animated series, its a start.

It was trash. Generic Characters, Master Chief taking his helmet off in the first episode to the Asian jar jar banks. Having to see Master chief remove an article of clothing each episode like a fukking strip tease. Master chief, The covenant chick and the other ugly ass spartan chick shows their bare ass. Chief fukks the Mary Sue covenant chick. It was trash. They spent all this time making halo into game of thrones that it doesn't feel like halo at all. Also for the life of me I didn't see any grunts.

They seem to be doing well with animation. But yeah, the live action movies they put out… could be better.cool but.... midflix tho?
Although, I enjoyed The Gray Man.

Na it was straight…. But like my best friend said…. It was definitely different from what you may have expected Halo to be if you played the game or a fan of the series.
That alone someone made it have a mixed response to the hardcore fans.
But casuals loved it

1, keep color palette's dark greys,rust brown
and black......only things that should stand out
and pop are blood,creatures eyes and the glow from armors.
2, the sets should all be ugly and bombed
the fukk out with rusty cars,trucks and human
and drone remains every few feet...
( think 1st terminator flashbacks kyle had )
3, keep the big named actors as background
players like Hoffman,Myrrah,Adam......(maybe marcus)
4, it has to be horror.......brutal and gory as fukk!!!!!
( not cheesy ) you gotta hear and see bone and flesh rip
when them lancer saws hit.
PLEASE DONT fukk THIS UP.
