Fifty-eight years after it banned discrimination in public education, the Supreme Court has set the stage for the defining civil rights decision of this era — agreeing to hear two cases challenging laws that define marriage to exclude couples of the same sex. To us, and a growing number of Americans, the right course seems clear: that the justices continue the march toward real equality.

In one of the cases, the justices will review a ruling earlier this year by the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, in San Francisco, which struck down California’s voter-approved ban on same-sex marriage.

The Supreme Court could leave California’s same-sex marriage ban in place, planting the court on the wrong side of justice and equality. Or, in the absence of a five-vote majority to establish a nationwide constitutional right to same-sex marriage, the Supreme Court could affirm the narrower approach of the Ninth Circuit panel, which was confined to California.

if the top reason people use to allow homosexual marriage is because it can increase cash flow to an economy then imo it just goes to show how much respect is lacking for the actual purpose of marriage itself

Yeah, I'm pretty sure THAT'S what shows how much lack of respect there is for marriage. Certainly not anything like, I don't know, the divorce rate. :rudy::sitdown:

so essentially you guys would rather gay people have hook up sex and non committed relationships instead of settling down, condensing their resources, and maybe giving orphaned kids a family? Theyre gonna fukk whether you want them to or not, and thats pretty much what grosses all of us out. So why this?

i guess some of yall want there to be a bigger available pool for anonymous gay sex. I see what you're about now :mjpls::russ:

I don't know. You tell me, since you're the one bringing up fukking dogs. :beli:

Matter of fact, don't. *hides pit bull*

No you tell me. You and the rest of the liberal cabal love to call anyone that questions the act of sodomy some kind of undercover homo or fudgepacker. Its old and wack and avoids the actual topic. Accusing people of being "overly infatuated with anal sex" or something, meanwhile, the crap is all over TV and movies and shyt. I don't even watch TV anymore outside of sports and news just to avoid it.

If two consenting adults want to enjoy each other that completely find by me. My only problem is with the notion that anyone that considers the behavior abnormal is somehow backwards or a horrible person. That's bullshyt. I will continue to think of sodomy as a disgusting act, no matter how many after-school specials the democratic party makes.

There is a reason Jesus condemned Sodom and Gomorrah in the bible (aka the "big book of fairytales" as its commonly referred to in liberal circles). Its a an unnatural, disgusting act.

And i think homosexuals realize this, hence the reason they are working overtime to program people into considering gay marriage "normal" by pushing agressively for its legalization across the US. There is a concerted effort to brainwash the youth so when the current gen gets older, it will be considered "no big deal" if people decide to fukk people of the opposite sex or the same sex, cause it's all the same!" To that concept, i say :pacspit:

No, people should do what they like. Im all for consenting adults settling down and contributing to the economy. I'm actually against the concept of calling it marriage though. They should call it dedication agreement or something that has equivalent status to marriage, similarly to what is done in many European contries. The modern concept of marriage is a religious creation and hence while the legal definition isn't religious, respect should be paid to the laws of the institution that created it. Cause if this shyt is legalized, I can definitely see these dudes suing churches all over the country, claiming discrimination if they refuse to marry them in their facilities. This will simply be another instrument to attack the Christian community.

Again, men can have anal sex with women? Why do you keep associating it with gay sex? :usure:

:laff: definitely the victimized here of course. You need to realize that your perceptions of pervasive atheism/agnosticism on the internet do not reflect the situation in real life. It's the other way around. the 'war on christianity" lmao

Also according to gallup approximately 3.4% of the american population identifes as gay. You're saying that of those people, a significant portion will get married and successfully sue churches? Whom have been supported by the first amendment already in choosing not to employ gay pastors? And despite the fact that there already are churches that marry gay couples all over the world?
