Intelligent , confident Straight Black men intimidate people. I personally don't care anymore.

But it has more to do with a power position. Soft, go-along-to-get-along type of Black guys do well in corporate but they immediately place themselves in a subservient position.

Straight Black men that aren't gay or soft will always be intimidating because they/we refuse to give up our power position. So this comes off as intimidating and threatening. We are not smiling with people we don't know, not talking about ourselves too much, listening more than we talk, etc... and it makes certain folks nervous. They are used to and like the talkative, smiling Black guy. He is likely subservient to them and is okay in that position.

:yeshrug:
Non-black men are terrified of intelligent, confident Black men. They love the low IQ thug dummies/groupie ass men, they're aren't a threat to anyone but Black people.

Plus on a sexual aspect, no woman wants an ignorant crash dummy compared to intelligent men. Non-black men love being able to compare themselves to all our idiots

Yeah, it's tough. I'm in the corporate world, and if I just talk normally and assertively- not even challenging people like that- the nervousness and "OK OK" I get from people is crazy. You'd think I snapped on them when I'm just talking.

It's gotten even worse since I've grown a beard. And trying to find a straight black male executive mentor is damn near impossible. The most senior black people are women and gay men...almost exclusively.

And I'm a medium-light skinned breh, so I can only imagine what it's like for darker brehs.

I have been said that black women only show respect to gay men or men that they would like to fukk… Other than that, they won’t even treat you like a human being.
You gotta be a Pastor or Gay or both.

Yeeeahh, Black gay men do exist, and face the same racism straight people do. The gay community is generally so segregated for that reason. In some ways, White gays are worse because they think that being gay excuses their bigotry.

Black people have to stop looking at gays as the enemy. They're not.
Most of them are because they tend to put their sexuality first and race second.

The video of the woman that OP posted is very supportive of straight black men and holds some black women accountable.

It's got to be an incredible feeling to know that there are still some black women out here that still have our backs through all this bullshyt.
clicked through a couple of her vids and she one of the last real ones left :wow:

This is the vibe I get on Twitter when I'm on there.
Anytime you venture outside of where black people are congregated en masse or outside of a space that's not dominated by straight black men...that's the vibe.
I'm starting to see how society is trying to make the straight black man completely irrelevant.
They'll promote everybody over straight black men...

Especially in spaces White Men & White Women control.

This.
I notice this especially since I come from a family structure where it's been a strong two parent household.
Me and my dad have talked about this.
We intimidate people.
Especially Black Men who value having family structure and uneqivically support advancement for ALL BLack people.

I'll add other groups of Non-White men see us the same way, which is why they are shook of us.
