Don't remember seeing anything about this, and I know the brehs loved this film series, so randomly browsing the wiki page of The Raid 2 and seeing this had me messed up

However, in a 21 November 2016 interview with Impact Online, director Evans revealed the sequel was on hold with the franchise likely having ended, stating "Moving back to UK felt like a closing chapter on that franchise – we ended the story pretty neatly (I feel) in Part 2. I'm aware there's an interest for it [...] So never say never, but it's unlikely to happen anytime soon."

Story ended pretty neatly? WHAT THE HELL DID THE YAKUZA BOSS SAY TO RAMA :damn: :damn: :damn:

Apostle director Gareth Evans (pictured above) has shared a new image and the official synopsis from his upcoming film. The world first became familiar with the considerable talents of the filmmaker with his 2011 action flick, The Raid: Redemption. Set mostly inside a single tenement building, The Raid pitted SWAT team members against criminals in an escalating series of intricately-choreographed Indonesian martial arts battles. A cult hit beloved by martial arts aficionados, The Raid spawned a 2014 sequel also directed by Evans and is set to be followed up by his The Raid 3. Meanwhile, A U.S. remake of The Raid is still being planned with Joe Carnahan in the director’s chair.

I'm sure he's just doing other movies and he'll get to The Raid 3 eventually, say in 3-4 years. He has Blisters and Apostle coming out; Blister has Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhian (Mad Dog), as well as Very Tri Yulisman (Baseball bat guy) and Yandi (IMDB lists breh as 'Prisoner,' from The Raid :patrice:).

I'mma check out the Blisters joint just off the strength of it having Rama and Mad Dog in it.

I've been waiting on a 3quel ever since I saw Ken'ichi Endô and Rama have that staredown in the office. In my top 10 movie series of all time.

Good, p2 felt one trick pony ish. After a while the fighting gets kind of redundant anyway the hype was always too much
