"There was no Hilfigers, and brothers who talked about the steal trigers
Was "Mobstyle", Harlem, REAL nikkaS
Steelo, kilo, album cover fish scales
Dice before cee-lo, drugs, guns and c-notes
They made mathematics, static they was the baddest
Hustlers, from the 80s, know the fukking status
Plus they packed the pretty chrome, like they had the city sewn
Azie, Whip Wop, Gangster Lou, Pretty Tone
And Alpo ordered guys to slaughter guys
And the whole Harlem was in tears when Rich Porter died
Wasn't no bummy crew, had money true, packed dummies boo
Had nikkas scared to death to even walk passed 1-3-2" - Cam'ron "I Remember When"

Gangsta Lou, from one of the most underrated and influential rap groups of all times Mob Style.

:patrice:

Lou's in that video(looking crazy) but not on the song.

Video Music Box was playing their shyt and Eazy E gave them promotion by acknowledging them on nikkaz4life but they just stopped making music. They came out with that gangster shyt when the conscious era was poppin and then stopped making music when gangster rap took over.

Since we are on the topic of Mobstyle

Ghostface is one of my favorites ever but you can't tell me his rap steez wasn't inspired by Pretty Tone Capone

The documentary was the first time I ever really saw their personalities and the scene were Tone had on the long beige coat wearing glasses talking about how he just came home from doing time and he was saying how he liked Nas and wanted Nas to holla at him...he defiantly had a Rakim mixed with Ghostface type swagger. They were shytting on AZ the rapper heavy in that documentary too.

Obviously between the name Pretty Tone and the remix to rainy days, you can make that assumption. But alot of dudes from that era in NY had a similar swag.

Alpo aint killing nothing!

That nikka aint trying to be sitting in a cell again. He's is just gonna tell his people in the feds on you!

There are different types of killers, and Alpo killed to get ahead, not to prove he is tough or because he lacks self control. If he has no reason to kill you for money, he aint doing it. People keep forgetting he a old man now, that nikka aint about to fukk up his life for the next nikka, he loves the spotlight too much. Just watch, in a few months he is gonna start doing interviews.
