Ra Diggs Named in Cross-Dressing Murder Plot
Former affiliate Saquan Wallace testifies in Brooklyn rapper's trial.

Standing more than 6 feet tall and over 200 pounds didn't deter Saquan Wallace from throwing on a gender-bending disguise to commit murder, he said in a Brooklyn Federal Court, Thursday (May 31).
Wallace testified in the trial against Ronald "Ra Diggs" Herron, 32, who is charged with three murders, one of which he allegedly boasted about online. Although he wasn't posing as a woman during the commission of the murders, Herron had cross-dressed before to run up on his adversaries, Wallace said.
The 28-year-old claims that in 2006, when he wanted to kill Jabari Foster for disregarding an order to stop selling drugs in a specific building, Herron instructed him to dress in drag, and he obliged. “I put on a wig, lipstick, makeup and I went looking for him [Foster],” Wallace said on the stand.
Wallace is currently serving a 30-year bid for murder, racketeering and drug trafficking. He and the rapper were once comrades reportedly running separate drug operations out of the Gowanus Houses (Herron's territory) and nearby Wycoff Gardens (which was Wallace's stomping grounds) in Brooklyn.
Foster, Wallace's former protégé, was gunned down at a party inside an apartment building. "Someone walked out and I was around the wall waiting," Wallace recalled. "When the person came in the open it was him [Foster] and I opened fire on him repeatedly and killed him."
During cross-examination Wallace, whose identical twin brother is also behind bars for drug charges, said that the female disguise was "good enough." After the shooting Wallace shoved the clothes into a plastic bag and burned the evidence. He hopes to have his sentence shortened in exchange for testifying against Herron.
The "We All F---ed Up" rhymer has been named in the murders of Richard Russo at the Gowanus Houses in 2008, and Victor Zapata the next year. He is also implicated in the 2001 shooting death of Frederick Brooks, a state charge that federal prosecutors believe he beat by intimidating witnesses.
In court earlier this week, Herron's supporters were accused of "eyeballing" and "making faces and gestures" while a witness testified to seeing Herron shoot Brooks.
