This one kid at elementary school was telling dudes about the Pikablu theory. There was also another one with Pikabud, which was a grass type Pikachu with a leaf on it's tail. Forgot how you were supposed to get that dude

Back when Gameshark was still poppin, some dude told me some bs codes on trying to unlock characters like Goku, Mega Man and other characters that I'm forgetting right now for the first Smash Bros. Needless to say nothing came from it. Had a nikka hyped too

ITT we discuss the lies the kid down the block told us and how he always seemed to have a relative who worked for the popular console maker at the time . Or remember the early days of the internet, when gaming code sites ran rampant with fake codes?

So first up, an old but a classic. Getting mew in pokemon red/blue

Legend had it, that if you had a lvl 100 pokemon with STRENGHT HM, that after you beat the game, you could go to the truck in vermillion city, move it, and MEW would be underneath

Im pretty sure we all heard some version of this, and we all tried it.

Next up, one that's a lil more personal, my mom was dating this guy and his kid was a huge DBZ fan. At the time, dbz games weren't really in the US yet, but I managed to get a copy of DBGT: Final bout.

This mofo told me that, if you beat the game (50 I think?) times with vegeta, you could unlock gogeta. Being the gullible head strong kid I was, I took on the challenge and one Saturday, I started to play the arcade mode over and over again. Needless to say, there was no gogeta


Other shyt I remember:
-Trying to get the 18 wheeler to come out as Stone Cold Steve Austin's entrance on WWF:Atittude
-Pikablu (this was before the new pokemon came out)
-There would be a MGS2 released for xbox that let you play as snake instead of raiden.
-you could play with Yoshi in Mario 64
-you could revive Aeris in FFV7

Add on, im sure there are some that im forgetting.

In Pokémon Red/Blue/Yellow if you hold down the A button right when the pokeball explodes you can catch pokemon easily, including legendaries.
