My beef with Red Dead 2 was never about the length of the game, and it was a very long game.
I didn't like the fact that the game tried so hard to simulate real life. I like fun arcade style with a hint of realism. Red Dead 2 was way too real. Kinda took the fun out of it for me. That played a part of me but finishing the game more than the length.

I can respect that and that's why when people bring up that point I can't even give them a rebuttal
For me though I loved that aspect of the game. I spent a good amount of time just doing random things with no real goal in mind. It really made me enjoy the game

After Ellie got her shyt packed the first time and they switched over to Muscle bytch, I tuned tf out. Started skipping cutscenes and still felt the shyt had gone on too long.
So when folks started talking about a sex scene, I was like "tf are y'all taking about?"
Looks like I did myself a favor.
UC4 was a slog from start to finish because that game has NONE of the magic of the first three titles. shyt was a vanity project from that fakkit Druckman, and it showed. You already had grounded ass TLOU, there was no reason to do the same to Uncharted. Lost Legacy managed to avoid the same pitfalls as 4 by being far shorter, even though there was no supernatural elements in it either. But it had Chloe's fat ass, so there was that.
