Sly you been sounding like you're ready to walk out on the GOP for a minute now. You need to go ahead and make that jump. You don't have to stop being a conservative, just stop being a Republican. If your primary concern is fiscal issues, I don't know why you wouldn't vote Obama instead of the guy who's gonna run up $5 trillion more debt due to tax cuts and will supposedly pay for it by eliminating deductions but doesn't have the time to tell you which ones.
You need to understand the GOP is not the more fiscally conservative party. Look at Obama's proposed grand bargain compromise vs. Romney's reckless voodoo economics tax plan. Look the debt and budget under Repub and Dem presidents for the last 30 years.
A lot of conservatives are fed up with the GOP. Neither party has been fiscally conservative or have brought any sort of creative solutions that I feel will bring about economic prosperity . That's why I liked Cain so much he brought a different angle a new idea that was risky but worth the attempt.
Funny thing is I'm gonna be learning from my accountant and working with him he does tax preparation and brings in a nice chunk of change. I partnered with him but im back in school getting my CPA with the plan being I can take over in a few years while he retires in Florida. Obama winning would be better for my career because Romney could simplify the tax code and affect the majority of the customer base who rely on thier tax returns and know my accountant is like Jordan he makes magic for people and he knows every trick in the book to get the best return. I also have been doing short films but that stuff is a pipe dream but if I get anywhere with that being a republican ain't a good look. So working in the field of accounting working 4 months a year leaves me free for my other passions
But I just what is best for the country and for as many people to succeed as possible if the Ryan plan can prevent insolvency in the future so be it. But if Obama happens to win I dont think he wants the country to fail and the needle won't be moved much anyway so I can live with it if he wins.
On another note it's awesome being back in school...gave up a steady stream of income but it's worth the sacrifice.
