I can see the stuff with Jon/Danny playing out almost exactly as the supposed spoilers have it. Although there'd HAVE to be more set up/innuendo that takes place between "Jon barely respects her" to "the two fukk on a boat"
Tyrion and Cersei/Jamie meeting again I could NOT see happening without some sort of violence. Jamie SWORE he'd kill Tyrion if he saw him again and Cersei meeting Tyrion ALONE doesnt sound feasible. Somebody would end up dead.
Cersei miscarrying Jamie's baby seems rather pedestrian at this point and a waste of Cersei screen time.
Arya killing Littlefinger is TOO badass to NOT be true
Bran and Sam teaming up to figure out Jon's heritage seems...cool I guess. Maybe a waste of Bran screen time, Sam and a gilly could do that themselves before going to winter fell
"Mereeen returns home" seems like a waste of the character, but I guess she wasn't TOO majorly important
Sam and Jorah team up to cure greyscale seems false, or like a reach. What importance does Jorah REALLY have at this point in the story?
The White Walkers capturing a dragon seems so cool, just the visual makes me want it to be true. It'll also knock Danny off her high horse a little bit, she got NOTHING but W's last season so she's due a little humbling
Cersei like "by golly sure I'll send help" while secretly having her hands crossed is spot on. I believe this
Bronn saving Jamie's ASS once again. Par for the course
Nothing on the Hound?
The Dragon Pit scene where "everyone" shows up reads a little anticlimactic on paper, there's so much tension amongst so many of those characters fireworks would HAVE to go off. The scene where Jon shows everyone the captured wight sounds cool though.
Gendry popping back up, and going on a mission with Jon..why?
The ICE DRAGON thing seems very real. It's been hinted at in the books that there would be some type of Ice Dragon. Plus they have to level the playing field for the White Walkers, or Danerys would just crush the buildings with her dragons.
Meera just going home seems weird. UNLESS, Howland Reed comes out the woodwork and takes her home. Still, storytelling wise that would be anticlimactic for Meera to go home. The world is about to end, they're gonna need all hands on deck for the GREAT WAR. I think Meera gets killed or stays put with Bran.
Hmmm, I kinda disagree. At this point, they are racing towards the finish-line and a fast pace is to be expected.
People used to complain about the pacing and how "nothing was happening"...I'm hoping that 7 episodes allows them to cut out the fat and really make these final 2 seasons special.
I imagine that this scene is meant to be a truly big moment.
I mean, on some level, haven't we all been waiting for *that scene* where all the storylines converge to a single point?
We've gotta remember, the show is less nuanced than the books. GRRM may never have all of these people meet each-other. The GoT showrunners...I don't think they have it in them not to do that.
I can see the stuff with Jon/Danny playing out almost exactly as the supposed spoilers have it. Although there'd HAVE to be more set up/innuendo that takes place between "Jon barely respects her" to "the two fukk on a boat"
Yeah, one thing we've gotta keep in mind is that, even if these are 100 percent correct, there is still a TON of nuance we aren't getting in regards to performances, subtext, DIALOG, etc.
For all we know, this could be some sort of truce between the houses.
Or maybe Jon knows who he is by this point and they view it as some strange Targaryen incest ritural thing....
Besides, and I say this as a proud Targset....Dany is a freak anyways. All it takes is some long hair and a little swag and she's itching for it.... Jon is gonna curve her in the beginning of the season (First guy to blow her off in FOREVER)...she's gonna be all up in her feeling about it. Add in the fact that she knows she needs a powerful marriage to pull off this coup....The "King Of The North", one of the most respected people left in Westeros, the supposed son of Ned Stark....politically she would be wise to hook up with him. And like I said, we don't even know for certain how much he knows about his history at that point (Although, I'm expecting that it's revealed to him in S8).
Tyrion and Cersei/Jamie meeting again I could NOT see happening without some sort of violence. Jamie SWORE he'd kill Tyrion if he saw him again and Cersei meeting Tyrion ALONE doesnt sound feasible. Somebody would end up dead.
I'm assuming that Jamie will have told Cersei about Olenna and the truth behind Joffrey's death by this point.
I'm also assuming that this "parlay" takes place with tons of Dothraki (And maybe other armies) surrounding the area. Cersei may still hate Tyrion but I don't think she'd pull anything with the threat of being burned alive on her door. I think that this meeting is going to play out like.....everyone is arguing, trying to get the upper hand, nobody trust one another, maybe violence is about to erupt....and then Aegon Targaryen () shows up with a Wight and puts EVERYTHING into perspective. Should be a nice hero moment for Jon.
Cersei miscarrying Jamie's baby seems rather pedestrian at this point and a waste of Cersei screen time.
Maybe so, but it fits in with him characters arc. She loses YET ANOTHER child. It could set up something for season 8.
It's true that it doesn't sound like much but to be honest...I have a hard time figuring out just what else they could have in store for her. She killed damn near everyone else of importance at Kings Landing. Her storyline is eventually gonna have to take a step back. Love me some Lena Heady and I know that they are gonna write her the way she deserves, but her trajectory right now seems lower than it was before.
I was thinking that maybe they might have some storyline with her owing Bravos Bank their money back or something. I dunno, maybe that does come into play and it just hasn't leaked yet....
Arya killing Littlefinger is TOO badass to NOT be true
LF had a spark when he started but now he's just GARBAGE.....
It *does* seem like his arc has run its course. Now that the family/political dramas seem to be wrapping up and they are transitioning towards the WW as the true big and bads....I'm not sure what place LF has left. He's not going to be making a deal with the Nights King. Him spending the season thinking he's smarter than Sansa and Arya, only for the sisterhood to turn it around on him and kill him, seems poetic.
I've heard a lot of book-based theories that seem to feel like LF and Vary's are the true major players in the game and that their importance has yet to manifest, and that might be true, but the show seems to be shaping up to be a little more standard than that. Above all else, these rumors suggest that it's really going to come down to humanity versus White-walkers.
Bran and Sam teaming up to figure out Jon's heritage seems...cool I guess. Maybe a waste of Bran screen time, Sam and a gilly could do that themselves before going to winter fell
Yeah I feel like, with them winding down, it's really not necessary to keep her involved anymore. Like we were both saying earlier, this stuff can play out a lot differently than it sounds. We're just getting little (supposed) reddit leaks. I think that Bran and Mereen can have a beutiful goodbye that ends her arc and allows for the rest of the story to move on. I'd like that actually. I'd prefer it to her dying.
Sam and Jorah team up to cure greyscale seems false, or like a reach. What importance does Jorah REALLY have at this point in the story?
Like I said, it felt saccharine to me. I don't think that GRRM would ever be that sentimental. But the showrunners...
I love me some Jorah. I think he's been an excellent character. At this point, if they just want to use him as another good fighter I'd be fine with it. I'm iffy on curing his greyscale, that *does* feel really convenient.
I don't understand separating him and Dany...only to have him right by her side later on. His last departure felt permanent...that was their goodbye. She sent him away once in anger. The second time, it was out of love and hope. What else is there? A selfless act of sacrifice for her life? But if so, why cure him?
Although, it seems like he spends more of his time with Jon. And that DOES make some thematic sense, considering Jon's relationship with his father Jeor. I thought that was going to be a dropped plotline, so I AM happy to hear that Jon offers him the sword (And also happy to see that Jorah declines it).
The White Walkers capturing a dragon seems so cool, just the visual makes me want it to be true. It'll also knock Danny off her high horse a little bit, she got NOTHING but W's last season so she's due a little humbling
Well, this bytch can definitely lie her ass off, I'll give her that. As we've been saying, it all depends on how it plays. The spoilers said that she was outwardly scared when The Mountain couldn't kill the Wight. So maybe they play it up as making it seem believable that Cersei will send help, only for a shock reveal that she was just again.
The homie Bronn.... So glad they kept his character around, he always steals scenes and has good moments.
Well, the spoilers implied that he's with Beric/Thoros and that he goes beyond the wall to help capture a Wight.
The Dragon Pit scene where "everyone" shows up reads a little anticlimactic on paper, there's so much tension amongst so many of those characters fireworks would HAVE to go off. The scene where Jon shows everyone the captured wight sounds cool though.
Gendry has low-key become a meme. There's a certain section of people that couldn't not keep "Damn, I guess Gendry is still on that raft!" This feels a little like fan-service to me but it's whatever....
Spoilers said that Jon gets a letter about their arrival back at Winterfell.
A full-blown reunion of the rest of the Stark kids sounds like a S8 type of thing to me. I think we'll get it eventually. I understand it not being in this season though. Jon and Arya had a special connection, deeper than the connection any of the other kids had individually.
