I dunno. Gendry made it back to the wall before nightfall. Maybe right at it. The squad was still right there sitting on the rock as the light waned. They def werent far from the wall when it kicked off. Maybe a couple hours hike. That would make sense since Gendry was running back and they only walked to get to where they are now. How fast the ravens flew is up in the air because their flight time would be about how long it would take Dany to get to them. Part of it is we know that theyve streamlined the story so they dont allow travel time to hold the narrative up anymore. Which is cool by me. But the other part is, we just dont know how big Westeros really is or know how far these places really are. We've spent entire seasons with people on the road but those people were going roundabout ways and changing destinations.Well it took gendry a while then he had to send the raven how fast was that raven flying
We know who the Night King is and we know its not Bran.NK is Bran. IMO. NK is a Greenseer. He has some visions of potential futures just like our Bran does. People complaining all over the internet about Gendry running back to Eastwatch, sending a raven and Dany flying up to save them but, it makes perfect sense when you consider that the NK is Bran and he can see potential futures happening, and maybe....he wanted to wait for Dany to come so he could steal one of her dragons.

Thats that shyt when you see nikkas taking L's from dead polar bears. Adrenaline had em until he got to the wall and the adrenaline left
It would have almost made sense if they just had Dany wait for them closer to the wall or if they had brought ravens with them the way Sam did when they went out ranging in season 2.
