I don’t trust these writers without source material. Last few seasons of GOT was the definition of

Saving grace would be George RR Martin would be heavily involved with this series. After season 6 of GOT he was all the way out which is why 7&8 are both trash.

They even got George on the HBO post episode wrap ups with Sapochnik and Condal. Iont really recall that being the case with GOT. He definitely would be heavily involved.

GRRM is involved and I believe Ryan J. Condal, the co-creator of HoTD, is someone he personally trusts. If I recall correctly he's one of the people who has spent a lot of time on GRRM's Not A Blog since he was a teen, and his whole style of writing and storytelling was inspired by GRRM. If that's the case for HoTD, I don't think GRRM is playing around with his babies anymore. Even the book, The World of Ice & Fire, was in large part written by fans he ended up developing a relationship with over the blog. Which is where a lot of lore from HoTD is pulled from as well. So things may be better this time around.

Jon is eventually convinced to check it out and see's the threat and goes to back to westeros to take the throne to prepare for her inevitable invasion.


IT'S NOT HARD and fukk any of that "beyond the wall" BULLshyt outside of a Nights Kings REMATCH.

So just retconn GOT for this show? Yea... They ain't doing that. GOT (ASOIAF) is dead and HBO let them hacks kill it.
