I get where he's coming from...some bits of dark comedy does elevate the overall dialogue of the show (think the Sopranos and 16 Czechoslovakians) but dark humor is something that doesn't work all too well in this setting...that's more of a modern thing.

alicent has allowed herself to be manipulated into provoking “war”…I use that term based on her wearing the green dress that her family literally recognized as a sign of it…she then proceeds to form an alliance with cole and cripplefinger that resulted in the deaths of two men this episode…I understand her “motivation” based on her father's insistence that rhae will come for her children at some point but we’ve seen no actual evidence of that…to date based on what we’ve seen alicent has been the aggressor…rhae just likes dikk which she lied about for obvious reasons…ya she’s a nasty freak but she hasn’t demonstrated herself to be much of a threat to alicent…also I still suspect otto’s motivation is more so greed than the fear he’s implanted in alicent…this is genuine speculation…I am not privy to what drives these characters outside of what I’ve seen from the show

Yea, that's dumb. I like having blacks represented but, it has to make sense. Daemon's kids should look like Missandei or lighter....like somebody from Dorne's complexion. They're mostly Targaryen at this point.

I honestly don’t even see what’s so unlikeable about her. As a kid, her “holier than thou” shtick seemed thin or naive, but now it’s clear she’s not only right on some turn my nose up on you shyt, but she realizes how high the stakes are here. Pretty much every show that deals with royalty touches upon how these people often find themselves forced to do something they don’t want to do as a result of the great position their birthright put them in. Alicent has been walking that walk bedding that decrepit old man for over a decade. Meanwhile Rhaenyra’s selfish ass can’t keep her messiness confined to her chambers. That messiness actually helps Alicent’s claim for her son to ascend the throne, yet she’s still trying to talk sense into Rhaenyra. Alicent looking like the closest thing to a genuine human being in rat infested shyt hole, so nah, I really don’t see what’s so unlikeable about her.
