This series can't continue this fast pace. I know they want to get to the "main conflict". But they need to slow down. We aren't getting the character depth of the OG show, because they're rushing through story.

I do love how this show makes sure you know that there are no innocents, none of them are truly worthy, they are all damaged people so you have to choose who you're rooting for knowing that they got issues and got skeletons in their closet like everybody else.

Alicent walked in on that boy booty butt @$$ naked ejaculating on the people of the kingdom and she still says "you should be the king!!! "

Daemon might be the only character in history that could make going home and being a family man a threat.

It's nice to see things starting to take a more defined shape, though. Whenever this turns into outright open hostilities, shyt looks like it'll get out of hand quick.

I mean in terms of material there isn't awhole lot there. 3 seasons at the most. People think the Dance is more dense than it actually was. Forcing in slow moments or random filler is just as bad

What’s with all the Alicent hate? She’s the only sane one in the Red Keep. Viserys may deny the truth, but he’s clearly dying and once he does, no one will accept those brown haired b*stards as royalty.


Rhaenyra is the biggest disappointment since Robb Stark. She was such an astute kid, but she got one whiff of the dikk and completely fukked her position. Her claim was already on thin ice just being a woman, now she’s been parading these b*stards around court like shyt’s sweet?

don't open old wounds. The red wedding episode is what made me switch from Team Stark to Team Targaryen. I couldn't stand how they did my boy.

That ep truly restored the feeling. I will say tho...I still don't think they put in the legwork to truly make the time jump hit as well as it could have. All of these characters - Laenor, Harwin, Larys, etc - were thrust into becoming important characters yet their screentime before tonight was very limited. There could have been more scenes with them, especially Larys. Going from just "oh hey he's in the Godswood, and now he's at the wedding feast" last week to becoming fukking Michael Corleone tonight is wild. I think he could have used more scenes, earlier in the season. There would have been a dinner between the king and Lyonel Strong, alongside his sons. Good simple way to get everyone on screen right quick...and could have been done 3-4 episodes ago.

Same with Harwin, who my mom didn't even know was supposed to be someone she remembered last ep. To go from just being the guy who helped save Rhae at the feast to being her alleged lover, and then to immediately die...that's not good writing IMO.

All that being said I thought the episode in of itself was really good.

I was thinking the exact same thing. It wasn't random that the Velaryian family is black...they actually wrote it into the plot as a way to make it obvious that the "plain featured" children were not the prince's sons. "He has his father's nose".

The thought never occurred to me, but on a weird level it actually makes the 'genetics' on the show make a lot more sense
The Targs are black albinos with straight hair
We just never noticed it because we've never seen any other 'Old Valarian' elite families before.
