Netflix won it cause they completely bombed with GoT so HBO backed off. Please believe if Season 8 was what it was supposed to be HBO would of did whatever they had to do to keep them.

Now they scoruing trying to get these spinoffs off the ground to get behind the nonsense season 8 put them in,.

Actually paying these guys 200 isn't as bad of an idea as it seems, they are going to pump out a bunch of movies and shows and only one or two of them have to be big hits. For as much as we shyt on the more recent seasons of GOT people tuned in regardless.

What have they done that's original?

Benioff wrote the book and the screenplay of the 25th Hour, which is a dope film. Dude was still in college though so maybe that was his magnus opus
