Honestly..... I might go AC6 lol. Spidey 2 is the safe pick for me but i went back and beat AC6 3 different times. I doubt I'll play Spiderman 2 again before the dlc drops (if there is dlc) I loved Spidey 2 though.

FF16 could of been it but it's just too damn easy. Story wise and visuals it's amazing though.

Honorable Mention to RE4.

Tears of the kingdom for me. I’m really loving Alan wake 2 but I haven’t finished it yet. I liked starfield and Spider-Man 2 but honestly I don’t think either GOTY material imo. If I had to pick between the two for my 3rd nomination it probably would be Spider-Man 2.

Those lists I only have played are Hogwarts Legacy, Spider-Man-2, Lies of P, FF16, and Starfield, Alan Wake 2 (I just started playing). For the rest of the lists, I don't have Switch and will play BG3 and will wait to see if BG3 will be on the Black Friday deal

I voted for Spider-Man 2. I have more fun Hogwarts Legacy than Starfield

As someone who thinks Nintendo be bullshytting a lot of the time, Tears is legit as a sequel:hubie: shyt makes me knock down BotW a couple notches honestly

It does more to change the overall gameplay loop from BotW than Spiderman 2 does from SM1 & MM but that's a truth many aren't willing to hear:hubie:

phantom liberty and the most recent updates changed more about cyberpunk then ToTK changed the landscape from Breath of the Wild :francis:

not even sure you could get away with calling a fallout new vegas level facelift either. and the pricepoint too? naw lets be reality - no one but nintendo could get away with that kind of flimflam

Phantom Liberty and Tears are two entirely different games so it's hard to compare, but having played both, the amount of change isn't too far off

Tears reworked weapons balance and crafting entirely due to the Fuse ability, introduced a whole new set of powers, added a underground section that's just as large but plays much differently than the surface map, and of course all of the zonai devices and building which probably showcases the most advanced physics engine you'll see on the switch. While it shares a lot of the BotW DNA, it plays a lot differently. Tears hooked me much much faster than BotW ever did and is way better with the story and cinematics by a wide mile.

Now them charging $70 for a switch game game period is a fair callout :hubie: . But I don't think anyone who's played that game feels like they got shortchanged or that it should've been a $30 expansion. It feels like a cross-gen Nintendo game where the Switch is the lower end platform
