What's your game of the year?
For me personally I'm going with Tales of Xillia. I understand nobody will pick this game. It probably won't be brought up in the conversation of GOTY candidates because its not necessarily a mainstream title with a ton of hype and its a JRPG but of all the games I played this year I enjoyed it the most by far.
For runner up Bioshock Infinite. The Last of Us might have gotten this but I really didn't enjoy playing through that game as much as I liked the story and characters. The gameplay on The Last of Us was just something I dealt with for the reasons I liked the game rather than something I genuinely liked. GTA V which I'd rate below The Last of Us was like all the other GTAs. A game I played and loved then got bored with and put down then distracted by other games and never really got back to. The last game I'd bring up in the conversation is Beyond Two Souls. Only problem with that is it isn't much of a game but I love the story it told. About to polish it off today most likely.
