Sounds like an outlier opinion because the general consensus of 2 was that it was far inferior to 1 and TC was more or less a return to form for the series though not as good as 1.

the market was built around tween lesbian romance thats why. The other games stray too far from the fanbases preference
the 2nd and 3rd game dealt with minorities and issues around racism, poverty, and mental health. audience aint fukkin with it
Monster Hunter Rise being incredibly slept on in this list

Weird the first half the year all i heard about was Monster Hunter Rise, everywhere. It was like the biggest release and now at award season it seems to not exist. Same with Hitman 3

It's not 2012 bad.
But in comparison to that year the best games were also indie games that were released that/this year.
I mean 2012 was the year that Assasins creed and Mass effect both fell off, so yeah. Although i very much enjoyed Sleeping Dogs.
