No sorry, having social norms is separate from muthafukkas feeling they have the RIGHT to be perverts.

We can't act like shyt doesn't happen (harassment and rape) in countries with far stricter dress requirements than the West.

Wanting to raise your daughter to be "classy" shouldn't be because you don't want her to get raped.

No one in this thread is claiming anyone has a right to be perverts, Gabby didn't make that claim either. And "classy" is a term Gabby used and she never said anything about it preventing harassment/assault. So you basically agree with her.:yeshrug:

There's rape and then there's sexual harassment ...there's criminals and opportunists everywhere, but why incite or draw notice to oneself by dressing in appropriately...

When I saw this and Biles' response, it was clear that they were just teammates, not friends. What Douglas has said, it something that has been echoed for generations; modesty. The thought is that it won't stop something from happening, but everything won't be on full display. It just didn't fit this situation. The doctor (shouldn't have been a male to begin with) molested a number of girls that came through the program.

The apology was one written by a PR person. She didn't back down from the statement. Career suicide? Her career was already over. She's too old for the sport. She'll have to go into the private sector because anything with USA Gymnastics is dead.
