Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
Y'all still wanna act like he ain't conscious?

Bruh...I was working retail at Polo Ralph Lauren one point and it was a mixed staff, whites, blacks and latins.

Demographically it was very diverse as well. Ppl from the city, like myself, and ppl from the burbs.

I don't remember how it came up..but I responded to this surburban white/latin chick

"All us blacks got is sports and entertainment!"

:mjlol:. I was really on my Jay shyt, then.

And her response was just like

" :dwillhuh:"

Like, it's sad that I felt that way. She was shocked at that mentality.

That shyt stuck with me for some reason. :wow:

Always loved Jay's verse on this:

jay was so comfortable on many types of rap songs. this could be classified as smooth r&b rap. a lot of goat contenders would sound horrible on this. yet jay can turn round and spit hard shyt.

you can make a case for jay having 8 classics.

i said a case remember, i think he has a solid 4.

but the case is RD, Vol1, Vol2, Vol3, Blueprint, Black Album, American Gangster, Watch The Throne. i say this cause people can make a substantive claim that either of these albums are their favorite.

RD is my favorite, best combination of lyrics, production, flow, concepts etc/ Vol 1 has some of his best album cuts ever. Vol2 is the crossover album that made him a star. Vol 3 , to hipsters, has the most witty lyrics and innovative production form timbaland, rocwilder etc. blueprint we already know black album we already know. i was late on american gangster, but i think it holds up now. and watch the throne was an eventful collab album.

4 i am certain of though is RD, BP, TBA, AG.
