Influential? How so.

I don’t know much about his music but that Nicki song and the Bobby song.

DJ L's was his guy. the sound. He also started rapping off beat for a minute.

He's from that chicago scene that changed the game. the offspring of king louie.

rondo, keef, durk, duck, bibby etc....

they also kinda launched that we gang gang drillers FR in social media and music. Made being a dope-head the wave 2. Honestly super destructive in heinsight.

"I blew a 100 K ON A HABBIT bytch" :picard:

"ME N VON WAS REALLY KILLERS B4 RAP"

a lot of it was shocking but they made a lot of really good music for youngins with good writing that was introspective 2.

It birthed the NY drill wave but the city literally only inherited the worst qualities of the chicago drill.

can argue he’s the biggest influence in the Bronx Drill Scene
In general for NY drill.

U can hear his flow in old Envy Caine and Desiigner

That whole Herb/DJ L sound was the blueprint for that first wave Brooklyn drill rap. The UK connection literally came from nikkas searching up “G Herbo type beat”. UK and NY drill production based on Herb/DJ L sound. The NY drill production more Jersey club/drill mash up nowadays but the first ones was literally DJ L copycat beats by UK drill producers.

This used ^^ to be a G Herbo type beat named “Savagery” by some guy named Pinero Beats from the UK

Herb deserve that recognition

Damn breh you ain’t have to shyt on us like that :picard:

Tbh the best of NY drill can go toe to toe fukk it I said it

I just gotta call it how I see it from these eyes dawg :russ:

don't get it twisted I aint mean to sound like the ultimate hater....there is plenty of NY drill I fukk with

All GO. but you know what I meant by that comment I'm not being sneaky. NY Drill did soak up a lot of the BS from chicago drill and the effects of the "music" / "image". idk how to articulate it you get what im saying?

I think for the bolded song for song could be a good versus. but no fukking way on full projects. Chicago got classic drill albums/mixtapes whatever TF u wanna call it.

They hands down have better actual musician artists.

Only thing I can think of is meet the woo 1 and arguably part 2.

Not going to club, bar or listening to the fukking radio =/= "living under a rock" lol
As in you’re not outside. Basically a basement dweller. Even if you tuned into apple music/spotify hip hop playlists you’d have run into a g herbo song by now.

You nikkas argue just to argue. Pathetic shyt

G Herbo flow and production fathered NY drill and he helped repopularize Nike Air Force 1’s again and he was part of the whole OG Chicago wave. To a certain generation tracks like “Kill shyt” and tapes like Welcome To Fazoland and Ballin Like I’m Kobe is classics. He was kind of the go-to “heartfelt street spitter” archetype for a lil minute.

Repopularize the air force one

Nobody rocking no forces cause of herbo and I never heard a nikka call them g fazo's or whatever he call him

And all whites never ever ever went out of style

:mjlol:

You aint need to add that fake stat on his resume

They weren’t in style like that early 2010’s…I remember nikkas wore retro Jordan’s, Foamposites, ball kicks like Kobes and Brons…whites wasn’t being worn like that. In NYC we was even off Timbs and wearing ACG’s, male Uggs, Polo boots in this time

White AF1 damn near uniform last 5 or so years

And the new generation call them that because of him. They obviously been a staple for a minute but the new generation associates them with him.

shyts like me saying nah nikkas already wore ski masks before Pooh Shiesty while ignoring the huge wave and the shyt literally being called “shiestys” in the culture

I don’t call them that the youngings call them that it’s pretty widespread nationwide for Gen Z to call them “G Fazos”

Even in NY “Uptowns” is losing usage in the lexicon

And you from the city dog maybe you wasn’t wearing ACG’s past 2007 but nikkas was def wearing the Pelle Pelles with the Robins or Trueys and the ACG’s up to like 2012

How is bibby doing so well and staying outta the limelight but this nikka can't? Makes his funnymarco vid look even more clownish
Was advised to finish highschool went and did just that. Then opened his music business signed juice world and others. Became a mogul.. meanwhile herbo was flossing on stolen credit card money while asking his manager to pay his moms rent apparently

Something like that
