I havent watched Simpsons in literally 10 years or so. Saw the movie they had out that year tho. I think Family Guy generally suits you better as you get older IMO. Even though they also been on some bs lately. But since they make alot of cultural jokes & references that u're more aware of as u become older & it makes it funny. I think the more honest & direct humor is another thing. It's basically cartoons with adult humor, almost like South Park.
Simpsons is cool but i feel it's more likeable for kids & maybe some older cats who still enjoy it or just enjoy it based on nostalgia.
I feel Simpsons is more about the characters & splot, where as Family Guy is more about characters, jokes & references & not so much plot.
Am i the only one who feels this way? Is it currently good or..?

Family Guy has gotten progressively worse since it's revival.
It's pretty much 15 minutes of cutaways 5 minutes of whatever resemblance of a story.
Yeah, some of the cutaways are still funny, but most are just stupid now and trying to be edgy.
American Dad has the happy medium and hardly focuses on cutaways but is still funny.
Cleveland show had its moments, but was mostly garbage.
Bob's burgers is an acquired taste - it's almost like a lite version of KotH since it's more "reality" based than Simpsons/AD/FG.

Bob's Burgers gives you the same classic family/community dynamic that The Simpsons gave you back in the day.
I guess this is true. I definitely don't have nostalgia for or care about the earlier seasons of "Family Guy" like I do with earlier seasons of "The Simpsons".
