True...but at least they weren't retconing shyt like crazy like they have been.
Like I think it was a couple seasons ago...they retcon'd how Marge/Homer met...they met in the fukking 90's now.
Yup I feel you. And the way I rationalized it: the show is constantly going to update itself for the time it's in, which is necessary to continue and in order for Bart and Lisa's ages to make sense for now, Homer and Marge would have to meet in the 90s. Of course the other option is just not to do an episode about that which is what I would've preferred

Exactly. When they're using iPads and iPhones and using Wi Fi and having guess stars from current day, it wouldn't make sense to not adapt some backstory
Nope don't want that to happen. I still enjoy the show because it's like enjoying your favorite shirt...even if it doesn't fit as well as it used to, even if it's faded, it's still your favorite shirt and if it goes away there will be hell to pay
