After stalling on this for a minute, I got around to watching Episode 1 and I am trully impressed. Its a subtle but very nuanced show. As someone who lives in a predominately cac nation, this Episode resonated with me something viscious. From the struggling Salesman angle. To the pick and chose comfort cacs display with certain Blacks. I disagree with those who claimed this show was superior to GoT or Breaking Bad. However, I can understand the appeal beyond the humour. This product has a strong black handprint behind its conception and execution. Shoulda have listened to my bro when he put me on after that Tranny Jail scene.

Bad comparison with BB or GOT. Don't need to compare such shows anyway, it's not a sports competition. Atlanta is rather similar to Twin Peaks anyway

Agreed. However, that comparison was relayed by brehs on this forum. Despite, genres we can examine characterization, development, themes, aesthetics and premise (plot) you can have cross comparisons. For instance Altered Carbon, Peaky Blinders and Castle Rock are uniquely different. Yet can be weighted to determine the "best". By saying Atlanta >>. It opened it to higher scrutiny and critism (which IMO was unncessary). As even when compared with those same metrics at least GoT trumps it.

Atlanta>>>> Breaking Bad and GOT. GOT had one of the WORST final seasons in television history
This show isn’t better than those, but it’s not even comparable. I don’t understand how people want to rank different genres of shows against each other. I’d never stack Diary of a Mad Band against Me Against The World

Yeah just dumb nerding without reason. People confuse entertainment with sport statistics

Any word on when the next season coming? With Lakeith and Zaza kind of blowing up I wonder if this will be the last season....
No one really knows due to production being shut down in lieu of the pandemic. I'm gonna go with Fall 2021 with everything going on right now.
