This shyt about parents not having the money to send their smart kid to a good school is hitting too close to home.
I grew up like that. I remember getting dragged out of my bad ass elementary school in Ft. Lauderdale to take gifted classes across town. At first I was mad cuz I had to leave my nikkas but looking back I'm like
And it was still public school so it was paid for with tax dollars. A kid in my position today don't have a chance. They cut funding for nearly all those programs.
same thing happend to me in middle school. got bussed to the magnet/gifted program.
